The ECITB (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board) is a UK-based statutory organization, national training provider & awarding body with responsibility for training and development. ECITB works in accordance with global employers to draw in, develop, & qualify engineering personnel in hundreds of skills and disciplines.

Advanced Bolting Solutions is the only ECITB-approved training provider in India with a state-of-the-art training facility in Mumbai & soon would make our presence felt in Abu Dhabi by June 2021. ECITB-approved courses offered by us, provide a method of training and validating skills in the specialist critical bolting area. These courses are detailed & teach practical critical skills through Approved Training Providers based on the ECITB Technical Training Standards.

Since the days of wielding large hammers and flogging spanners, Joint Integrity has come a long way. Now the dictating ideology is tightening of joints i.e. integrity of joints should be done in a safe, systematic, and reliable way, supported by detailed and accurate records. Today the world needs more precise, efficient, safe, systematic & qualified technicians to provide this perfection in their bolting service. In a world that is constantly evolving & developing with various projects underway for the future, skilled technicians are the need of the hour. There are some companies as well as countries where skilled manpower needs to be mandatorily ECITB Certified to work on critical applications.

Especially for a country like India which supplies a dominant part of that skilled workforce globally, ECITB Certification is the key & critical part in the development of current as well as future skilled manpower.

With over 2 decades of providing customized bolting solutions, our entire DNA is based upon the qualitative approach which focuses on these Foundations for Joint Integrity. These foundations describe the three components one should focus upon to ensure industrial joints are tightened precisely & safely, avoiding leaks.

  • TOOL:

The correct bolting tools for each application should be identified, it should be properly maintained & calibrated. With the wide variety of tools available in our arsenal, we cater to all requirements. Our tools are precisely calibrated to give maximum output with maximum safety & efficiency. Understanding the job in hand is half the battle won.

  • TRAINING:

Now, this is where the focus for any bolting operation should be.

Once the right tool for the job is serviced, & calibrated tools are available, they need to be operated by somebody who is trained and certified to do the job precisely & safely with effective results. The most recognized bolting training standard around the world is the ECITB MJI (Mechanical Joint Integrity) & TMJI (Technical Mechanical Joint Integrity), a set of detailed theory and practical training courses covering all industrial bolting operations.

The framework of the ECITB Courses offered by us for the engineering industry comprises of Work-Based Task Assignments (WBTA) and Technical Tests which covers isolations, dismantling techniques, an inspection of components, alignment techniques, and clamp connectors as well as assembly and tightening techniques in specialist critical bolting.

For a better understanding, here is a brief introduction about our courses:

MJI 10 (Hand Torque Bolted Connection Techniques):

This covers specifications, methods, processes, techniques, & procedures for using hand torque wrenches. It will explain how to remove components from hand torque bolted connection systems, how to replace and reassemble securely and verify the integrity of assembled joints.

MJI 18 (Hydraulically Tensioned Bolted Connection Techniques):

This covers specifications, methods, processes, techniques, and procedures for using hydraulic tensioning equipment. It will explain how to remove components from hydraulic tensioned bolted connection systems, how to replace and reassemble securely and verify the integrity of assembled joints.

MJI 19 (Hydraulic Torque Bolted Connection Techniques):

This covers specifications, methods, processes, techniques, and procedures for using hydraulic torque wrenches. It will explain how to remove components from hydraulic torque bolted connection systems, how to replace and reassemble securely and verify the integrity of assembled joints.

TMJI10 (Dismantle, Assemble, and Hand Torque Flanged Joints):

In this course, the focus is on the useof appropriate tools and equipment successfullyto dismantle, inspect flanges, and report faults, prepare, assemble, and secure flanged pipework joint as per the specified drawing and within set tolerances.

TMJI18 (Dismantle, Assemble, and Tensioning Bolted Connections):

In this course, the focus is on the use of appropriate tools and equipment successfully to dismantle, inspect flanges, and report faults, prepare, assemble, and bolt tensioning connection using hydraulic tensioning equipment as per the specified drawing and within set tolerances.

TMJI19 (Dismantle, Assemble, and Hydraulically Torque Flanged Joints):

In this course, the focus is on the use of appropriate tools and equipment to dismantle, inspect clamp connector components and report faults, prepare, assemble, and tighten a bolted connection using hydraulic torque equipment as per the specified drawing and within set tolerances.

  • TRACE-ABILITY:

This is where the bolting industry has upgraded, the technological advancement has made way for accurate & detailed data recording. Software and hardware are adopted to record and store data on each joint for any bolting service. Modern software will calculate the Torque/Load, the number of passes, etc. create worksheets & job completion records, record the unique calibrations for the tools and the certification of technicians makes it more effective. All this information can then be stored per joint for thousands of joints on a plant which will provide certified technicians working on any joint access to data on every procedure, material, and load to be applied to that joint – even safety warnings & the tools to be used. This information can be extracted easily and built into worksheets, and when the work is done the date, results, tools, and exceptional items such as corrosion levels can be recorded, which provides not only a current progress check on a maintenance schedule but also items that may need to be on a future schedule.

With years of hands-on experience in working closely with industry employers, Advanced Bolting Solutions follow these qualitative foundations of philosophy for joint integrity.

These foundations & ECITB Certified qualifications guarantee competence in practical craft and technician occupations as well as the technical, management supervisory, design, and project management skills.
