BoltSafe bolt load cells can send their data to different readout methods. For the PMS sensor (Periodic Measuring), only the handheld reader with probe can be used. For the CMS sensor (Continuous Measuring), multiple readout methods are available: The Handheld Reader, Network with PDI, Network with PDI-NT, RS-232 and Analog Converter and the IoT-node. The choice for a readout method depends on the application of the sensor, how many sensors need to be read out and to which devices the data should be sent.

Load cells are used to measure force, weight, or load. They convert mechanical force into an electrical signal that can be read and processed, often used for measuring tensile, compressive, or shear forces.

Bolt load can be measured using a load cell that is placed under or near the bolt to measure the force or tension being applied. This is typically done using a torque-to-load calculator to convert the torque applied to the bolt into the corresponding load.

Load cells are connected through a wheatstone bridge circuit. The electrical signal from the load cell is sent to a signal conditioning device, which amplifies and converts it into a readable output, often linked to a digital display or data acquisition system.

A load cell is a force transducer that converts mechanical force or weight into an electrical signal. Specifically, it is often classified as a strain gauge transducer, as it uses strain gauges to measure the deformation (strain) caused by the applied force.
